Primary 93 - Ezekiel

Image
image Heavenly Father wants us to obey in hard times. At times others might criticize us for having a standard; standing for something we believe in. Don't bow a knee to your scorpions because of their gnarled faces or mean words. Stand by your testimony of Jesus and the commandments you have been given. Ezekiel was given those exact instructions. It says in chapter two... 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 6 ¶ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. When your teachers were missionaries their mission leaders

Primary 92 - Latter Days

Image
image   The Prophet Jeremiah saw our day as other prophets before him and like other prophets of old told Israel of our day. He said things like the commandments of God that were originally written outwardly would be written inwardly. That Zion would seek to do righteous things with a willing heart and would not begrudge it as his times.  We have read how prophets pleaded with the church and people to do good and are good and not just talk about it. The prophets have been through tough times and they knew that they might fail but God showed them us and how we did righteous things. They saw how Israel, which is now worldwide and spread out has tried daily to not just say we are good but actually do good. All this year we have encouraged you to do good. We have asked you to help your neighbor and befriend your schoolmates. Be cheerful. Show them your testimony through your actions and kindness. Help others build their testimony of Jesus by being the kind of person they want t

Primary 98 - Jeremiah

Image
image Jeremiah is a prophet that lived before Babylon took Jerusalem. He was persecuted when he prophesied a force from the north was going to take the city-state by force. Twice a force came through the region. The first came through with no incident. People ridiculed and mocked the prophets among was Lehi and Jerimiah (mentioned in 1 Nephi chapter 1).  Had the people paid attention to the prophets they would have been prepared for Babylon who came through as the second army did not just pass through but took the city by force. The prophets had warned the people on a time of peace as the Lord does all major times.  When we were encouraged to move our church and worship to a home worship, it was at a time of peace. Some were discouraged or surprised by the change in policy. Some mocked like they mocked Jerimiah. Then the virus turned our world upside down and the saints were prepared and not by coincidence. The Lord knew things were going to change. We must realize that the

Primary 91 - Humility

Image
image Children,  Fasting and prayer were taught by Isaiah to remind us that we all depend on the Lord and as brothers and sisters, we should show others what the Lord would have us do by serving, feeding, and clothing them. When you know the pain of others, you then are eager to change the course of those in pain to courses of relief. We need to know that it is vital to understand that we all have been given a crooked path and that by going down this part of life our rough edges will be made smooth, and our path will become straight where it was strait (crooked and dangerous).  Lastly, we want you to know that we are admonished to gather Israel (chapter 62). We are encouraged to lift and lead and in so doing we will be better ourselves. Heavenly Father encouraged us to be part of the gathering and like drops of rain to Noah, our righteous and good deeds will flood the earth if we make the effort to participate in the gospel and not just be an observer. One day we hope that

Primary 90 - Babylon vs. Israel

Image
Image Brothers and Sisters,  We study this week about artificial life, faith, religion, government, and God being poison to the mind and body. The soul struggles and starves when we do not truly seek Jesus in our lives. Isaiah warned us that the two ideals were identical but when we dive into the view, when we get close, we see how different the Church of Babylon and the Church of Israel are so different. Today we will show just how different they are. The Church of Babylon teaches to be a boss, not a leader. She teaches lust is as valuable as charity. She teaches the beauty of our bodies is to be displayed through lasciviousness, not to keep sacred and shared with those in a holy union like temple marriage. She uses outward symbols to appear holy and repentant but their heart is not washed their mind is not connected to God. Babylon seeks to save her sinners in their sins, having no standards or law. This church disobeys the law or has none. Her royalty is fake drenched in
