Primary 98 - Jeremiah

Jeremiah is a prophet that lived before Babylon took Jerusalem. He was persecuted when he prophesied a force from the north was going to take the city-state by force. Twice a force came through the region. The first came through with no incident. People ridiculed and mocked the prophets among was Lehi and Jerimiah (mentioned in 1 Nephi chapter 1).

Had the people paid attention to the prophets they would have been prepared for Babylon who came through as the second army did not just pass through but took the city by force. The prophets had warned the people on a time of peace as the Lord does all major times.

When we were encouraged to move our church and worship to a home worship, it was at a time of peace. Some were discouraged or surprised by the change in policy. Some mocked like they mocked Jerimiah. Then the virus turned our world upside down and the saints were prepared and not by coincidence. The Lord knew things were going to change.

We must realize that the prophecies of God are never predictable. It echoes like waves of water from a dropped pebble or stone. From a father's blessing or patriarchial blessing to a worldwide prophecy or an ancient prophecy, God will answer everyone that has been done in righteousness. Jeremiah saw that in his life as all of the prophets before him. We promise that as you read and study the scripture and read the messages of modern prophets you will see a correlation that was meant to bless you.

We testify that God lives and that he knows your name. We know that the prophecies of God are real and will be fulfilled. When you get your patriarchial blessing, know that like a ripple in a pond, the prophecies will bless you over and over. We warn you to not be hasty. The blessings will be completed in both this life and the next. Be patient and obedient, bare your testimony and pray for heaven to be your guide. The people during Jerimiah's time were not eager to follow the prophet and interpret the scriptures without the spirit at times leading to errors. Follow the prophet and read the Savior's words regularly to help you keep on task in your life.

Again we love you guys as your teachers. Do well and smile in the trial. You are special.

Challenges
1) Read Jeremiah 30-33; 36; Lamentations 1; 3
2) Think about the General Conference we just had. Write down your thoughts and feelings about what was said that touched your heart.
