Primary 92 - Latter Days
The Prophet Jeremiah saw our day as other prophets before him and like other prophets of old told Israel of our day. He said things like the commandments of God that were originally written outwardly would be written inwardly. That Zion would seek to do righteous things with a willing heart and would not begrudge it as his times.
We have read how prophets pleaded with the church and people to do good and are good and not just talk about it. The prophets have been through tough times and they knew that they might fail but God showed them us and how we did righteous things. They saw how Israel, which is now worldwide and spread out has tried daily to not just say we are good but actually do good.
All this year we have encouraged you to do good. We have asked you to help your neighbor and befriend your schoolmates. Be cheerful. Show them your testimony through your actions and kindness. Help others build their testimony of Jesus by being the kind of person they want to be with.
Build your testimony on sure things. Build your testimony on Christ, on the Gospel, on the Atonement, on Truth. These things pillars of faith, hope, and charity are built on. When we work to build we can see the efforts of our work. Feelings and opinions change and get hurt and twisted. There are highs and lows but when we have them anchored in Christ, in the Gospel, we will be happy. Bullies and assailants will not change you because your feelings and faith are built on a sure thing. Remember that sure thing. Have the gospel written in your heart through song, prayer reading the scriptures, and writing in your journal of those feelings. When you are older get a patriarchal blessing, serve in callings, and Heavenly Father will bless your life.
We testify of the importance of grasping the help of the gospel and constantly strengthening our grip. We must live the gospel the same inwardly as we do outwardly. We are grateful to be able to teach and learn from you this year. You guys are awesome.
Challenges
1) Read Ezekiel 1-3; 33-34; 36-37; 47
2) Why is it important to write the gospel on our hearts? How do we do that? Take some time to write to think and write down your feelings and impressions.
