Primary 46 - Legacy

Image
Image   Leaving a legacy, a good legacy, brothers, and sisters, comes from a life of hard work. A long time ago a fellow stood for what he believed. He was a farm boy who married a wealthy woman, studied hard, and prayed long. He lived in the harsh west who's personal belief was questioned by others and when he was at the pinnacle of his success he was killed. That man... Was Abraham Lincoln Now that we have your attention we want you to know your destination is not as important as your journey. We all want the kingdom of God to be our final place but while here we must desperately show it on earth. We must constantly be seeking education of the mind and spirit. We must exercise daily our bodies and be eagerly engaged in good works. Every day we have challenges we should be thankful that they are ours and that we were in the right place at the right time to be part of it.  When we bear our testimonies and stay strong with the Spirit we become challenged by the adversary

Primary 45 - Prepare for the Bridegroom

Image
Children, A long time ago, in two separate occasions, your teachers decided to get married to wonderful daughters of God. They got in their best and most white suits and came to the temples with their brides. Their minds were contrite (obedient) and their hearts broken (repentant) wanting a unbreakable vow, a covenant, that would bind them to their brides. They too were humble and meek. They had prepared for a life that would be enriched because of a union. Now many years later, there has been exquisite joy and deep sadness, children and homes, pets and cars and all of this increase was because of their preparation . We're going to reflect for a moment on a Second Coming song we sing every Christmas. Joy to the world! Joy to the world! Oh, woah Joy to the world! The Lord is come Let ea

Our dear class, No one asks what does it take to be in second place or get a "B" in a class. The same is said for what the Lord wants for us to succeed. He doesn't focus on the lesser rewards though they are great. The Lord focuses on the greatest reward. When He talks of rewards He focuses on the best rewards and how to get them. Doctrine and Covenants, 129-132 shows us that if we are to get God's greatest gift we need a companion.  Now class you are young and marriage is so far from your mind, but we want you to know that eternal marriage is important and is a precious union that we want. How do we create these unions? We pick good friends and treat our siblings and parents the way we want to be treated. The friendships that we have now will be the ones we have in the next life (D&C 130:2). The more we work we do in being a good friends, the better we will be ready to be spouses and eventually parents and grandparents.  Eternal families are one of th

Link here . Our dear brothers and sisters, We wish to start with this story... D&C 128.18 – For we without them cannot be made perfect – The Parable of the Keys Once there was a little boy and a little girl who loved Jesus very much, and he loved them. They were kind and always told the truth, and whatever Jesus wanted them to do they tried their best to do. “You may come to my house,” Jesus told them one day, “and there I will give you a gift.” They put on their best clothes, made sure they were clean, and went to Jesus’ house. It was a beautiful house, and it made them feel beautiful too, just to be inside it. They met Jesus, and he gave them his gift. It was a key—a wonderful key. “Take care of this key,” he said. “Put it next to your heart. Don’t let it tarnish or get rusty. Always keep it with you. One day it will open a wonderful door. Whenever you wish, you may return to my house, but each time I will ask to see the key.” They promised him they would, and they we
