Primary 46 - Legacy
Was Abraham Lincoln
Now that we have your attention we want you to know your destination is not as important as your journey. We all want the kingdom of God to be our final place but while here we must desperately show it on earth. We must constantly be seeking education of the mind and spirit. We must exercise daily our bodies and be eagerly engaged in good works. Every day we have challenges we should be thankful that they are ours and that we were in the right place at the right time to be part of it.
When we bear our testimonies and stay strong with the Spirit we become challenged by the adversary with our challenges getting harder and harder. Like learning to ride a bike or swim it takes training and practice to be good. Then with that learning comes the need to utilize the skills we have acquired. When we have a testimony sufficiently strong, Jesus asks us to be bearers of that truth to all the world. He asked that of Joseph Smith and he says that of us today. You all come from legacy and it's asked of us to share that legacy through stories. When our progenitors tell us stories we should write them down. Brother Bingham's grandma did that by writing four books about her ancestors (parents and grandparents) and pedigree (children and grandkids). You may not think your legacy has much but think of this, we survived COVID 19, strange weather, storage sights like blood moons. Ever wonder what your kids and grandkids will say when they hear that? How about the time you were there when we went from three-hour church to two? You have a story. Save it and show how the Spirit helped you or taught you.
We testify that recording your story will be a huge blessing to you and you're descendent. We love you guys and pray for you all.
