Primary 44 - Be a Temple Family
Our dear class,
No one asks what does it take to be in second place or get a "B" in a class. The same is said for what the Lord wants for us to succeed. He doesn't focus on the lesser rewards though they are great. The Lord focuses on the greatest reward. When He talks of rewards He focuses on the best rewards and how to get them. Doctrine and Covenants, 129-132 shows us that if we are to get God's greatest gift we need a companion.
Now class you are young and marriage is so far from your mind, but we want you to know that eternal marriage is important and is a precious union that we want. How do we create these unions? We pick good friends and treat our siblings and parents the way we want to be treated. The friendships that we have now will be the ones we have in the next life (D&C 130:2). The more we work we do in being a good friends, the better we will be ready to be spouses and eventually parents and grandparents.
Eternal families are one of the greatest gifts that Heavenly Father has ever given us. Mothers and fathers being able to be more than just acquainted with us but still be our moms and dads is a beautiful gift. Then, expand that to include brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins etcetera and you have a family you would love to get to know.
The temple teaches us that the family is so important that we should be sealed forever. We should find all our family so that we can be with the Savior as one big happy family.
Teach friends and family that you want them to be with them for all eternity.
Know this, we love our families past and present and are doing our best to be part of their lives and thus be part of ours. We testify that the sealing power is a great blessing and encourage you to want it too.
Challenges
