Primary 8 - He Knows You

Image
Our wonderful Class, Heavenly Father knows your name and your purpose that is unique to you. This week we were studying D&C 18-19. Here we learned that Jesus wants us to repent and explains what you do here on earth is vitally important and that Apostles are important. When we left heaven to be here, we can not express enough how much Heavenly Father knew the person he was sending here. He knew your trials and shortcomings. Your tests were going to specific to you and you would never be tempted above that which you were able to overcome. Remember what we said about faith and hope? Faith was that we hoped He loved all of us. Hope was that our Father loved you specifically and knew you. We can promise with a sure testimony that our dear Heavenly Father knows us. You have a purpose. You have a place in Heavenly Father's plan; a plan in a place and time, that was made for you and us. As part of the plan Father has put everything in place to help us return home. He even

Primary 7 Prepare for His Coming

Our wonderful class, Please forgive our tardiness in discussing our next lesson. We wanted to stress how important it is to constantly study the scriptures and to pray to our Heavenly Father who sent us here to learn valuable lessons that could not be learned anywhere else.  Our beloved Father wants us to work; work our bodies, minds and hearts or souls. We'll try to explain this the best we can. We know that from the beginning of time, from Father Adam to the present we have been told that we would work by the sweat of our brow for our bread (Gen. 3:19 & Mos. 4:25) but we must realize that all of this is for our good and that we will find joy in our experience. Joy doesn't come by sitting there but from hard work. When we clean our rooms or do the dishes, the hard work in the moment may or may not be pleasent but if we do the work with a happy heart we find joy in the outcome. The reward is the satisfaction of our accomplishments.  Sometimes God directs our pat

Primary 6 - Aaronic Priesthood

Our precious class, Happy Valentine's Day. We are so glad to be studying with you about the restoration of the Lesser Priesthood or Aaronic Priesthood. A couple of things we want to bring to your mind. The priesthood is wonderful and was a key in restoring the gospel. The Aaronic priesthood was the power through which the authority of Heavenly Father could be administered. Because of the Aaronic Priesthood the saints could get the sacrament with all the blessings of heaven. They could preach and admonish the gospel changing lives of those that lived around them… and this started because of the translation of the Book of Mormon. The translator and scribe wanted information about baptism. Because of this experience Oliver saw his first angel who laid his hands on Joseph and Oliver and gave them a precious gift that has blessed our church and the lives of millions for over two hundred years.  Who was that Angel? It was John the Bapt ist. Why was it him that restored the Aa

Primary 5 - The End from the Beginning

Our wonderful class, This week we have been studying Doctrine and Covenants 10 and 11. In these accounts we have begun to learn how our Heavenly Father truly knows the end from the beginning.  Our Father in Heaven knows us. He knows what makes our faith grow and what kind of experiences we need to grow our faith. You see, our faith is like a plant or tree. We need the sun (Son), water (of life or scriptures) and a rich soil (soul full of desire and a body of clay). Heavenly Father knowing all our needs for our spirits to grow in faith has provided all of these things so that you and us, your teachers, can come back to the presence of Heavenly Father.  You and we, we may never see the plates or sword of Laban or the Liahona, but seeing those things are not anywhere as important as the faith that grows in this life. We hope that in our lives our faith grows to a knowledge that the gospel is true, that Jesus lives and that He does speak to prophets but most of all, you know th
