Primary 7 Prepare for His Coming

Our wonderful class,

Please forgive our tardiness in discussing our next lesson. We wanted to stress how important it is to constantly study the scriptures and to pray to our Heavenly Father who sent us here to learn valuable lessons that could not be learned anywhere else.

Our beloved Father wants us to work; work our bodies, minds and hearts or souls. We'll try to explain this the best we can. We know that from the beginning of time, from Father Adam to the present we have been told that we would work by the sweat of our brow for our bread (Gen. 3:19 & Mos. 4:25) but we must realize that all of this is for our good and that we will find joy in our experience. Joy doesn't come by sitting there but from hard work. When we clean our rooms or do the dishes, the hard work in the moment may or may not be pleasent but if we do the work with a happy heart we find joy in the outcome. The reward is the satisfaction of our accomplishments.

Sometimes God directs our path in ways we would never see ourselves. For example, because of our study and prayer we are lead to things both in the spirit and in the flesh (body).

When the Witmers showed faithfulness they saw the plates, helped with translation and saw Angel's. They developed a testimony and showed that God gives us miracles because of of our faith. Now that's something you and I might not see or may always see.

Conversely, the Knights who also were also faithful saw none of these things but the Lord blessed their family too. They went west and helped establish Zion and it built their testimonies. They learned to endure to the end.

If you let heaven be part of your daily lives through simple and small things (study your scriptures, prayer, fasting etc.), the Lord will give you little miracles all through out your days. Focus on joy, charity faith, humility and hope. We'll explain...

We've explained Joy so we'll go to charity. People with charity work to help others. They use money, time and the sweat of their brow (there it is again) to lift and bring Joy to otherstheough service. When we serve others we lightn the load of others and when the work is done, it was done faster and we are happier than if we had left it to someone else to do or ignored it. (1 Cor. 13:4, Moro. 7:43–48).

When we work hard for good things and seek for good things in our lives it strengthens our faith and gives us hope. When we tell our testimony or pray to Heavenly Father it builds out faith. We want you to always remember the difference between the two, faith and hope, faith says we have a Heavenly Father, hope says He loves me and knows me and my troubles and will help me. Faith says Jesus will forgive all men; hope says, Jesus will forgive me when I repent. You must have hope with your faith so that you will see the miracles that are yours and strengthen the testimony that is yours too.

Finally we go to humility. Rick Waren once said...
“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.”

When we work real hard to help others, and we pray for others like our prayers are truly and offering of thanks and true pleads to our Father in Heaven we will begin to understand how we have come to know Jesus as a truly humble man, who is truly the savior of not just the whole world, but of you.

Heavenly Father helped the early saints and he will help you. Have faith, hope, charity and be humble. Your life may not be what you expect but we have the Lords promise, that if you do your best, it will be worth it.

With love,

Brother Keller and Brother Bingham
