Sunday School 41 - 3 Nephi 20-26; 27-4 Nephi

Brothers and sisters,

Sorry I missed last week so some of last week will be blurred with this week. First, this week, it seemed that the people needed, after hearing the gospel, the name of the church. When I say Disney what do you think of? Hamburgers? Cars? Nope! Rides and movies, that's what comes to mind. Now say the name of His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  What images come to mind? Prophets, seekers, and revelations? Scriptures? Temples? Conference? Great!

Now we have an image; what else did Jesus need us to do? We look like Christ's church. What next? We need to act like His church. Like anything else we need to be and not just look like Christ's church. Our actions, speech, and thoughts need to reflect the words of Christ.

Let's ask a new question. What does the Gospel mean to you? What do you do to show Christ in your countenance? Do you study the scriptures and pray; volunteer your time?

What drives, and motivates you on your mission called life? What is your desire? What can God give you to show He loves you? What have you given Him to show the same. Remember I have told you faith is a deep trust and repentance is a returning loyalty. Prayer opens the door to that experience. Fasting and sacrifice brings blessings.

Do the prisons of the heart, mind, Spirit, finance, and body have you? Or does Jesus have you?

“The Book of Mormon,” Elder Neal A. Maxwell said, “is like a vast mansion with gardens, towers, courtyards, and wings. There are rooms yet to be entered, with flaming fireplaces waiting to warm us…Yet we as Church members sometimes behave like hurried tourists, scarcely venturing beyond the entry hall.”

Gospel is taught in Christ's name, and his church will have his name. We reflect him in all things because He is servents have His image written on their countinance as we are written on His hands. We the people are the church, not the buildings. Your struggles may scoff and mock you but you are the church incarnate (made flesh). Buildings may fall and procedure may change but Our Father is absolute... Unchanging. We may think our lives are in constant adjustment because of outside events but we are children of a God who loves us. He constantly tells us to we were meant for joy, we were meant to show charity and have a hope though our faith in a being that Redeems us daily if WE want it.

Brothers and sisters, God love us. He is trying daily to influence us to do good not just be good. Remember you are important to Him. I hope you make him important to you.
