Primary 130 - Changing Point

Children,

Many saints can tell the story of when they started their testimony of Jesus and how it changed them from ordinary to extraordinary; Paul's story is no different. The road to Damascus. This faithful Jew wanted so much to follow the Law of Moses and Jehovah, he missed the Christ in the flesh or the people who followed the Apostles and the teachings of Jesus. He had to be shocked by a vision and blindness to see through a darkness that Satan had created for him.

This not always the case as it was for Paul. Little by little we are brought to a change that will bring out us out of our metamorphosis. If you could imagine the course of a butterfly, think of this, first, you consume as much as you can about the gospel. Next, we cocoon ourself and allow the things we have learn to solidify and prepare as it changes ourselves. Lastly we emerge, eager to spread our beauty that has come from the gospel so that others can see how the Savior has changed us to who we are today.

For some it's a mission or spiritual experience; the thing that solidifies the experience. We go out on our own to show our changes. Now, like butterflies, it doesn't end here. We are going to go through journeys that are tough and our testimonies are tried and tested. Some of us, our journey will be cut short and others will live to share their experiences, sharing the gospel the way they know how; sharing our metamorphosis.

The thing that it would be called in Greek is Pestus or a deep trust or faith. Paul wants us as saints to develop Pestus with Christ. At times faith can become fleeting like that butterfly. We must put ourselves in a place where the Holy Ghost can be with us like drops of rain or rays of sunshine. Through study and prayer we slowly become familiar to Christ and the Holy Ghost. We gain Pestus with God who then can trust us with tasks that otherwise couldn't occur without our experience.

We may be placed in hard times but do not discount it. If we are asked to ensure it, endure it we'll. Thank God for all the small miracles and blessings that are given. They will be a reflecting pool that will be your blessing alone. Write your blessings down so that it will solidify in your heart and mind. Seek your patriarchal blessing and read it often and aloud to yourself.

Heaven will bless you in ways that will be an asset. Pray for understanding, study and pray. You will be prepared for hard times. Sure we will not see it coming but we will be prepared. We love you guys. Have a great weekend.
