Primary 111 - Whom do ye serve?

Image
image Children, Today the world is decided. People who do good want to be seen. People doing wickedly do not want to be seen. But there is a third type, a celestial type, those who don't need man's approval, don't need to be seen heard or talked about because they do good, not for man, but for Heavenly Father. The Savior taught that we tend to do things for one of two reasons, essentially. We want to be seen saying, or doing good or we want Heavenly Father to know we are good and don't need to be seen or heard. All to often, some of us are tempted to talk of Holy things lightly or do things, that are good, because people are watching. Do good because God is watching. Be a child of God in all times and in all places. When you pray, talk to God and not to be heard. Don't use vain repetition, like a script or poem, give thanks for food, raiment, the good thing in life and for the strength to overcome the hard times. When you fast or pay tithing, remember th

Primary 110 - The Beatitudes

Image
Image The Beatitudes are so amazing that people have studied it for two thousand years. The Savior asked us to be like God through simple acts. He asked us to be meek and submissive to God and to take our trials as a a child accepts bread from a parent. We must remember that God will never give us something that will hurt or make us afraid.  The Beatitudes say... Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.   Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.  Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. These statements are short but profoundly  powerful. They help us gain prospective and directions on how we should live our lives. The gospel is not one of confusion but of light and clarity. Like the Father, He, Jesus will always give us food to eat and water to drink. He asks us to follow the commandments and seek Him so that we will be filled

Primary 109 - Our miracles

Image
Image When Jesus started His ministry He performed miracles and taught with such power that it moved many to come and listen. Little by little, people came to realize that they were in the presence of the Son of God.  The recognition came little by little as we said. First they would recognize His outside. He was a Jew. Then he would see speak with respect and truth , meeting the people where they were. They would address Him as Sir. As He, the Son of God continued to show how much He knows us all, they would esteem Him to be a prophet. It is when we come to realize that we might know Him as He knows us that we call Him, Master or Savior. Brothers and sisters, the Savior knows us deeply. Our struggles and weaknesses, He helps to make strengths. He knows us. We testify of that. Look for the daily miracles that His tender mercy has placed in your paths. Remember we love you and pray for your success. Study and pray daily and the Holy Ghost will teach you the things we have no

Primary 108 - The temptations of Jesus

Image
Image We are all tempted, especially after a special spiritual moment of our lives. The desire to come back to an old and familiar wicked way is more prevalent and may even send us to an edge that we would of not considered after our spiritual moment. The same was for Jesus. Satan came to him after fasting and prayer. He went in the wilderness to commune with the Holy Ghost (so the scriptures say) and afterwas was tempted. (Matt 4, Luke 4).  Like Moses who also saw the Father then saw Satan, Jesus was visited by Satan after His great experience. Heavenly Father knows that we will struggle after a mission, visiting the temple, going to church or service. Satan will want us to look to the world for comfort after a spiritual high. We encourage you to look to the scriptures and living prophets.
