Primary 48- Hands, Minds, and Hearts
Brothers and sisters,
This year we have learned so much about our Savior and Redeemer. We have learned so much about the Lord's Church.
The people of the church and the story of the church aren't perfect. We had crazy ups and downs. There were fights and war; death and debt. Sons and daughters suffered grief and pain. It is the same pain and other dispensations have suffered... And for what? We testify as your teachers, the gospel is worth it. Your testimony of Jesus Christ the Savior and Redeemer is worth it. Knowing the Savior knows your problems; He hears your cries. Remember as Jacob 5:72 says:
"And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their might, and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them;"
We testify that the lord has been part of our teaching and has taught us what we should say and do to strengthen and edify our spirits. We have taught as a tender keeper of the vineyard at times not knowing what we should say or where we should go, only the Lord knew. We want you to know how much it has been an honor to teach you and be part of your lives even if it is but a moment.
When Joseph was asked so many years ago what do you believe, he gave that reporter and the world the Articles of Faith. We keep those articles as a simple reminder and a testament to what we believe. These many year's we have sung and studied about the articles so that they can find a place in our minds and hearts.
In the Hebrew faith, they do something similar because they too have been taught as children to have the scriptures on their minds and hearts so that they will always have Him to remember. As you go through life, study the articles like you studied the Doctrine and Covenants. Your ancestors have been through a lot to give you a Pearl of Great Price like it was in the New Testament (Matt 13:45-46). As the parable goes, they have bought the land so that they could have the pearl of incredible value; a pearl that they want you to have. As we gave studies we hope that your testimonies have grown a little more. Again, we love you and will see you soon.
