Primary 30 - The Path
Our dear precious brothers and sisters
Why is it important?
Brothers and sisters, we turn to Jacob chapter 5 for the answer. Now you say why is the story of a vineyard about me? Let's pan out a little. If you and we are the vineyard, we need additions (grafts), subtractions (pruning), and movement (transplants). For example, people are removed and added, the property is removed and added and moves are all the time.
Our lives are with the loss and gain of jobs, property, friends, and family through death and departure, marriages, births and adoptions, and we could move all over. Our whole lives are that vineyard.
Then why is it in the book and can we see the answers early? The answer is sometimes you will see the answer through the Spirit. For example, you might be like your teachers and recall an event from your life that by itself is meaningless but when shown through another experience means suddenly a lot. It has so much depth that it must be remembered. Missionaries and teachers have these experiences all the time when looking through the lens of the Spirit.
That said, another warning our dear brothers and sisters, we are wheat among the tares. It is a great time and a dangerous one. We must find and associate with other helpful and spiritual people. We are meant to be blind for a reason. We are in a world where we must choose if those we associate want to hurt or help us. Be careful, we could think that those like the people Noah trusted their king over the prophet. Both were burned but one warned the people like a parent and the other wanted to party like a friend. Don't follow what is popular, follow what is right.
We will be in the Book of Life when we seek the Savior in all aspects of our life. He is there; He is always there. Our Heavenly Father and our Savior want to see you again. Search, ponder and pray as the song says, and your path will be lead to heaven.
We are honored to teach you and we love you. Thank you for helping us and listening to our simple message. We love the Savior and truly seek to serve Him in our best capacity. We love this calling and will do our best with the Spirit in all our tenacity to help you be all that you can be to live and share the gospel.
