Primary 27 - Directions

Who can save our lambs?

Our dear class,

Jayne B. Malan asked the question once as a little girl and shared the story in October 1989 in Conference. In studying the Doctorine and Covenants, section 77, Joseph Smith asked a lot of questions but it boiled down to one question how can we help the world learn the gospel.

A lot of us have questions about parts of the gospel; such as why are we here, where did we come from, where are we going, why we are families important, etcetera. You may have questions too about the gospel. Whither all the questions you might have, others not of our faith struggle even more.

Children, it is our responsibility to help others find those answers so that we can keep falsehoods from filling in blanks that are a struggle. If you say, "but I don't have the answers" that's great! You have incredible resources; prophets, apostles, teachers, scriptures, scriptures but above all, a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior. The three greatest people, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost all want to help us find answers to hard questions.

When you have questions, do as Joseph did; pray. Heaven will lead you to the help that you are looking for in every question. Joseph started his journey with questions and never stopped asking.

You are worth it children, keep your faith and share the gospel. You can help others every day find answers. We as a light on a hill. We are here to help our brothers and sisters find their way home to our Heavenly Father.

We love you and testify that we are blessed when we share the gospel. We know Heavenly Father loves you and is there for you. All we have to do is pray, study and listen and we will start to find answers.

Challenges
1) Read D&C 81-83
2) Write down a time your prayer was answered. How did you get the answer?
