Primary 14 - W are Equal to God as His Children

Our wonderful class,

D&C 30-36 talks about a lot of things. The big thing we want to emphasize this week is that how the Lord gives us all blessings. Some of those blessings are of the Spirit and some are temporal. Well, to clarify Heavenly Father always does things with spiritual intent but can manifest temporarily.

In this point in the history of the church, there was wealth inequality. Some were wealthy and some were poor (like today) but there was a spiritual imbalance among the saints which was impacting. What the Lord introduced was the Law of Consecration (the law for making thing holy to prepare us so we can be with our Heavenly Father). This law helped the saints to learn to be equal in everything.

Now it didn't work out but we also at the time got the Law of the Tith (better known as tithing). The whole point was to teach us that everything is from God, everything. We must realize the wealth of Heaven and how Heavenly Father wants to give it to us but we are human and the scriptures warn us to beware of pride and that we are sensual and devilish.

Basically, sometimes our pride gets the best of us and we want to say that we are better than our brothers and sisters. To be direct, we are not better. You and we have talents and experiences that we received when we came to earth and we are supposed to share them with others because when you are building others, your spirit is strengthened with good experiences.

When we go to heaven we will only take our experiences, our bonds with family and friends, our blessings and covenants. So you don't need lots of money, clothes, toys, or otherworldly stuff and if we have a lot (surplus) we are encouraged to share our talents and wealth with others so when we build others we will be blessed. When we sing to the lonely, help people move, give gifts without holding back we will see such happiness, the likes we will never know.

The greatest example of giving is Jesus. He gave his time, talents, and the pure gospel to all of us. He has been giving to us for centuries either as an effect or as a resurrected being and taught us what we must do and be so that we can gain blessings and bless others.

Challenges
1) Read D&C 41-44
2) Service challenge. Look for little service opportunities around you at home or school. Record what you did, How does affects the person who served, and how do you think you feel.

We promise you as you do service for others the windows of heaven will be opened. You have the opportunity to be the hands of God in helping His children. We know the church is true. We love you guys and pray that you have a great week.
