Primary 100 - Endure to the end
The prophets these few years have asked us to renew, replace, replenish, and repent. It was our heart's desire during the pandemic and for even a while it showed when the sanctions and mandates were lifted. We had that same spirit of renewal on September eleventh (now known as Patriot Day).
The patriots and saints are awakened when trial and tragedy came. When the Israelites finally got a chance to rebuild the temple of Solomon, at the start, the people were excited and prepared but when things cooled, so did they.
President Nielsen has asked us to now be active in church and temple. Our trials have lessened but persistence should not. We should seek to help others more, read our scriptures more, attend our meetings more and be grateful the trials have lessened. Like an athlete, we are in our trial free time as a people, as they are between competitions. We need to prepare for the next challenge. Haggai and Zachariah wanted it and they warned us to fill our vessels with spiritual food and eternal water of life. The vain things of the world try to take our time. When we make a solid effort to fill ourselves with spiritual things we will be fuller than if we keep the world in high priority we will feel empty (Haggai 1:6).
During the Christmas season, we celebrate the birth of Christ, a new beginning. Let us take time to reflect on where our priorities are and take advantage of this time to make the changes we are inspired to make. Change can be difficult and takes courage but it can start with desire and one step forward. Let us strive to be more loving and kind to those around us. Let us strive to act on the promptings of the Holy Ghost and you will see miracles all around you.
We love teaching and being taught by you guys. This has been an amazing year of growth and learning. Make this next week great and enjoy your family.
